Sarjis Alam gets new responsibility

Anti-discrimination student movement convener Sarjis Alam has been appointed as the chief organizer of the National Citizens Committee. This information was given in a press release signed by the spokesperson of the Citizens Committee Nasir Uddin Patwari and member secretary Akhtar Hossain on Monday.

The press release said that with the aim of expanding the activities of abolishing the fascist system and implementing the new political settlement, Sarjis Alam, a central member of the National Citizens Committee, has been nominated as the central chief organizer.

The press release further said that in the expanded organizational structure of the National Citizens Committee, Nasiruddin Patwari will be the convener, Akhtar Hossain will be the member secretary, Samantha Sharmin will be the spokesperson and Sarjis Alam will be the chief organizer.

It is worth noting that the ‘National Citizens Committee’ was launched on September 8. Then Sarjis Alam joined it as a member in late November. Today, he was nominated as the central chief organizer.
