Rubber worker killed in wild elephant attack
A rubber worker named Abdul Haque (45) was killed in a wild elephant attack in Sonaichhari Union of Naikshangchhari, Bandarban. The incident occurred around 5 am today (November 19) while he was working in a rubber garden. The deceased Abdul Haque is the son of Minaj Uddin of Ward No. 8 Purnabasan Para area of Baishari Union. He was a laborer by profession.
Locals said that while collecting rubber saplings in the Pyayjhiri area of Notun Para of Sonaichhari, Abdul Haque came across 2-3 wild elephants. At that time, he was attacked by a wild elephant. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Naikshangchhari Police Station, Masrurul Haque said that he has received information about the death of a person named Abdul Haque in a wild elephant attack. Later, his body was recovered and legal action was taken.
