Rohingyas infiltration again, the locals caught
Police rescued 37 Rohingyas including women and children while infiltrating from Myanmar.
They were rescued from Jahaspura area of Baharchhara Union of Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar at around 9:30 pm yesterday.
Quoting locals, Teknaf Police Station OC Muhammad Ghiyas Uddin said that a group of Rohingyas infiltrated through Jajaspura point of Teknaf on Tuesday night. At that time the locals saw them and caught them. After receiving information, a police team rescued the Rohingyas. The rescued Rohingyas are in Baharchhara police investigation center.
The rescued Rohingya said they had infiltrated by sea through brokers in exchange for money from Myanmar.
