Putin-Trump’s first phone call since the start of the war

Amid the war with Iran, US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke for about an hour on the phone. The Kremlin said that the main topic of the long phone call on Tuesday (March 10) was the Middle East crisis and the war in Ukraine. This was the first time the two leaders have spoken since last December.
Putin’s diplomatic adviser Yuri Ushakov said that the Russian President has urged Trump to reach a quick political and diplomatic solution to the Iran war.
Russia has always supported Tehran in the Iran war. In addition, the two leaders discussed in detail the positions of the two countries and possible steps to resolve the current unstable situation in the Middle East. Putin also informed the US President about Russia’s current position and military progress in the war in Ukraine.
