Pro-government parties are behind most of the country’s big syndicates: Jamaat Ameer

Jamaat Ameer and opposition leader Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that pro-government parties are behind most of the country’s big syndicates. He said that the situation is still the same as in the past, no change has occurred. He said this at a seminar titled ‘Impact of global energy crisis on Bangladesh’s agriculture and ways to overcome it’ at the Krishibid Institute in the capital this Saturday (April 11) morning.
The Jamaat Ameer said that now there is a cry for energy. Oil is only in the parliament. If someone speaks from the treasury bench of the pro-government party there, it seems that Bangladesh is floating on oil. We are in trouble only because of some dishonest thieves and small people.
Stating that people’s livelihoods and wealth are being destroyed, he further said that although there is 18 percent demand in agriculture, it is important to give priority to this sector. In the reality of the country, agriculture, electro-mechanical and human resources – these three sectors need to be given equal importance. As an agrarian country, agriculture will be given first importance, then the electro-mechanical sector and the human resource sector will help them. But the reality is that all three are in crisis.
Appealing to the government, the Jamaat Ameer said, “Hey, we have not learned from the past. Let’s try to understand the cries of the people. If agriculture is in crisis, then the country’s disaster cannot be prevented by anything. It will not be possible to prevent it even with foreign loans.”
