Prisoner dies at DMCH

A prisoner named Md. Babul (55) has died at Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital. He died on Monday (January 19) afternoon.
It is learnt that on the instructions of the prison authorities, prison guard Shahariar Mira and some prison guards brought Babul from Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj to DMCH Hospital this afternoon. Later, the doctor on duty at the emergency department of DMCH Hospital declared him dead at 2:05 pm after conducting an examination.
The prison guards who brought Babul to the hospital could not immediately say in which case Babul was detained. They said that details will be announced later. Inspector in-charge of DMCH Hospital Police Outpost Md. Faruk said that the body has been kept at the DMCH Hospital morgue for autopsy.
