Prime Minister meets newly appointed administrators of 42 district councils

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman met with newly appointed administrators of 42 district councils. The meeting was held at the BNP Chairman’s office in Gulshan on Monday night (March 30). Earlier, BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman came to the office at 9:30 pm. The government appointed administrators to 42 district councils on March 15. This is the Prime Minister’s first formal meeting with the administrators after the appointments.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister directed the district council administrators to work effectively at the field level. In particular, she directed the newly appointed administrators to strengthen the local government structure, accelerate development activities at the grassroots level and ensure public services. Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam were present at the event.
