Political leaders to accompany him to America at the invitation of the chief advisor: Press Secretary

Principal Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus is going to New York, USA on September 22 to attend the UN General Assembly session. This time, the names of four political leaders have been included in the list of his entourage. Among them are two from BNP, one from Jamaat and a leader from Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP).
They are BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s International Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir, Jamaat Nayeb-e-Amir Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher and Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain.
These political leaders will travel to America with him at the invitation of the chief advisor, said Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam. According to him, this year’s UN session is very important. He made this statement at a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Thursday (September 18) afternoon.
Shafiqul Alam said that the interim government has decided to reform two laws of the Election Commission. The proposal to amend Section 5 of the EC Secretariat Act-2009 has been approved. This has been done to speed up the work of the Election Commission.
In addition, out of a total of 77 important reforms, 24 have been implemented and 14 have been partially implemented, said the press secretary of the chief advisor.
