On the other hand, the attacker policeman Navid Anjum has been taken into custody by the Kotwali Model Police Station in Barisal city. Navid Anjum works at the Amanatganj outpost of the Barisal Metropolitan Police.
The injured Firoz Mostafa said that Navid Anjum, who was a player, had been friends with him for a long time. Because of this, he often came to his office. Later, he got involved in drug use and online casino gangs. Then suddenly Navid accused Firoz Mustafa of hacking his email ID; for which Navid had been creating trouble in various ways.
He said, the last time he tried to blackmail me with some personal photos of my family. However, unable to take this opportunity, Navid came to my flat with some people on the night of October 25 and inhumanly tortured me. From that day till November 2, Navid kept me locked up by threatening me and tortured me while recording a video while stripping me naked. Later, on November 2, he broke down and called 999 for help. Later, Kotwali Model Police Station came and rescued me.
He said, even after being rescued, the then OC of the police station, Mizanur Rahman, did not file a case against Navid because he was a policeman. Due to this, I filed a written complaint with the Barisal Metropolitan Police Commissioner on November 3. On November 13, Deputy Commissioner (DB) Abul Kalam Azad called me to the Police Commissioner’s office to investigate the complaint; But Constable Navid threatened me again while sitting there. The video of which is with my colleagues.
Firoz alleged that although the Kotwali Model Police Station did not accept the case, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sayed took Navid’s side and took my laptop. Later, OC Mizanur Rahman repeatedly said that he would resolve the matter. However, when the complaint was filed with the Commissioner, OC Mizanur Rahman, ASI Sayed and Navid Anjum became even angrier.
In continuation of this, yesterday (December 8) night, Constable Navid entered the house on Gorachand Das Road and beat him with a hammer, causing bloody injuries. At one point, Constable Navid left Firoz in the house and closed the door from outside and fled. To save himself, Firoz called 999 and sought help. Later, Kotwali Model Police rescued him and admitted him to the hospital.
