Police vehicle attacked in Gopalganj

A police vehicle was attacked, vandalized and set on fire in Gopalganj. Several police personnel were injured in the incident. The incident took place in Ulpur, Gopalganj Sadar on Wednesday (July 16) morning. Tension prevails in the area. Police and army are deployed at the scene. Police said that there is a march program of the National Citizens Party (NCP) in Gopalganj city today. To thwart it, leaders and activists of the banned organization Chhatra League attacked and vandalized a police vehicle and set it on fire. The injured are being rescued and receiving treatment at the hospital. Police officials also said that legal action will be taken against those involved in the attack.
