Police arrest four more people for attacking police in Rajbari

Police have arrested four more people in connection with the attack on police at Nural Pagal Darbar in Goalanda, Rajbari. A total of 11 people have been arrested so far. They were arrested in a drive in different areas of the upazila on Sunday night (September 7). The arrested are Saiful Islam Shuvo, Sagar Fakir, Billu of Goalanda upazila and Ferdous Sardar of Faridpur district. Goalanda Ghat Police Station OC (Investigation) Md. Rashidul Islam said that after Jumma on Friday, Towhidis attacked Nural Pagal Darbar Sharif. During this time, police were attacked and vehicles were vandalized. Fifty people, including policemen, were injured during this time. In addition, one person was killed. After 12 midnight last Friday, Goalanda Ghat Police Station SI Selim filed a case as the plaintiff in the attack on the police. They have been arrested in that case. Preparations are underway to send the accused to court.
