Plasma leakage is a major risk for dengue patients, what is the doctor’s advice?

The incidence of dengue has increased alarmingly across the country, including the capital. The pressure of patients in hospitals is increasing every day. The number of dengue patients has exceeded 35,000 from January to September this year. Doctors say that various vitamins are essential for the long-term health of the human body. Vitamin ‘D’ in particular plays an important role in increasing immunity. According to experts, the most dangerous aspect of dengue is plasma leakage or the escape of plasma from the body. If there is a deficiency of vitamin D in the body, this risk increases further and shock syndrome occurs. Not only that, this deficiency causes complications in the liver, kidneys and brain. In addition, the risk of severe joint pain or bone pain also increases. Professor Dr. Md. Mahbubul Haque, Director of Children’s Hospital and Institute, said that it is important to be aware of vitamin D deficiency to avoid dengue complications. The main source of vitamin D is sunlight. Natural sunlight, especially between 10 am and 2 pm, plays a helpful role in filling the deficiency of this vitamin in the body. Doctors advise that in addition to preventing dengue, for long-term health, one should consume foods rich in vitamin D and stay in sunlight regularly.
