People from 50 countries are trapped in this fraud.
A gang has defrauded millions of people from 50 countries through a call center. The country’s police raided a call center in Russia on Monday and arrested the gang. This information was revealed in a report by the Russian media outlet The Moscow Times.
The report said that among those arrested were Israeli and Ukrainian citizens. Citizens of 50 countries were defrauded. Among them were countries from the European Union.
In a video released by the country’s intelligence agency, security forces can be seen raiding a business center. Several employees of different races have been detained and their computers and servers are being examined.
The Russian security agency FSB said, ‘An international criminal gang used to operate through this call center. They defrauded citizens of various countries, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada, India, and Japan. They illegally earned up to one million dollars every day.’
Russian intelligence claims that this gang worked for former Georgian Defense Minister David Kezerashvili. He is the founder of the Milton Group. Currently in hiding in London.
The FSB has detained 11 employees from that office. Among them is an Israeli-Ukrainian citizen.
