    People are entrepreneurs: Dr. Yunus

Interim government’s chief advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, ‘Only people are entrepreneurs. They are not workers. Workers are going astray. This is not the path of people. The path of people is to create. Create what is in your own mind. Do not create on the orders of others. This is the difference.’

He said this while inaugurating the trade fair at Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BCFC) in Purbachal on Wednesday.

Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, ‘This fair tickles our creativity. This fair gives us an opportunity. Seeing one person tickles another’s head. Let us take this opportunity.’

At this time, he urged young entrepreneurs to invest.

He said, ‘Trade fairs provide an opportunity for people to be enterprising and creative. That opportunity should be availed.’
According to EPB sources, there will be a total of 362 stalls and pavilions in this year’s trade fair including 11 organizations from 7 countries. July Chattar, Chhatrish Chattar and Tarunya Pavilion have been created with the focus on the July-August Uprising. There is a different system at the entrance due to the e-ticket system.

This time, category-wise stall or pavilion spaces have been allotted for the first time through online. Along with the special discount of BRTC’s dedicated bus service, to facilitate buyers and visitors to the fair, Uber service is being added.

Initiations have been taken to organize seminars based on potential sectors or products at the fair. There will be a separate sourcing corner, electronics, and furniture zone for the convenience of foreign entrepreneurs or organizations. A technology corner and a seating corner for senior citizens have been created for the convenience of age-based visitors. There will also be a children’s park at the fair for children’s pure entertainment.

At the same time, July Square and Chhatrish Square have been created in the fair out of respect to the sacrifice of students and the public in the student movement against discrimination. Along with this, a Youth Pavilion has been created in order to inspire the youth of the country in export trade.

It is worth mentioning here that the fair will open from 10 am to 9 pm every day for a month. And it will run up to 10 pm on weekends.
