Pakistan’s Foreign Minister to attend Khaleda Zia’s funeral

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will attend the funeral of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. He is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Wednesday for that purpose. The Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka confirmed this information to the media on Tuesday (December 30) afternoon. Khaleda Zia’s funeral will be held on Wednesday after Zohr at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban premises and Manik Mia Avenue. She will be buried next to the grave of her husband, former President Ziaur Rahman.
Earlier, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia breathed her last while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital at around 6 am Bangladesh time on Tuesday (December 30). (Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un). She was 80 years old at the time of her death.
Begum Khaleda Zia’s personal physician and BNP National Standing Committee member Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain. Tomorrow, Wednesday, after Zohr, the funeral will be held at the National Council Maidan and Manik Mia Avenue. She will be buried next to the grave of her husband, former President Ziaur Rahman.
