Pakistan’s Foreign Minister to visit Dhaka.

By February the Foreign Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar will be visiting Dhaka. According to a report published on Friday Pakistani media The Express Tribune said that the next month Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will visit Bangladesh. Since 2012, this is going to be the first visit to Bangladesh by a foreign minister of Pakistan.

Earlier at a news conference on Thursday Ishaq Dar had said that he would visit Dhaka in February at the invitation of Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Towhid Hossain.

He also confirmed that Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has accepted Pakistan’s invitation to visit Islamabad on a mutually agreed date.

Hina Rabbani Khar was the last Pakistani foreign minister to visit Bangladesh in 2012. She had then visited Dhaka to invite then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the D-8 summit of the grouping of eight developing Muslim countries.
