Pakistan paramilitary headquarters attacked, 6 killed

Gunmen attacked the headquarters of the paramilitary force in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar, police said. Six people have been confirmed dead so far. They include three terrorists and three paramilitary personnel.
Dawn reported that the attack took place on Monday (November 24) at the Federal Constabulary (FC) headquarters in Peshawar. Senior police officials confirmed the incident. Peshawar Capital City Police Officer Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed told Dawn that the FC headquarters was attacked. We are taking countermeasures and the entire area has been cordoned off. Media reports said that two explosions were heard in the area during the attack.
Terrorist attacks have increased in Pakistan in recent years, especially in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan. Such attacks have increased after the militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) broke its ceasefire with the government in November 2022 and once again threatened to attack members of the security forces, police, and law enforcement agencies.
