Owner and employee killed in bus collision
Two motorcyclists were killed in a bus collision in Lohagara, Chittagong. They are said to be the owner and employee of two shops.
The accident occurred in front of the old BOC Suzuki showroom in Amirabad Union of the upazila on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway at around 2 am on Friday (October 17).
The deceased were identified as Sohel (25), son of Faruk, a resident of Lakshipur village in Chauddagram upazila of Comilla district, and Abu Bakkar Siddique (14), son of Abdur Rahman, a resident of Jangalkhaiya area of Bhujpur upazila of Chittagong district.
Eyewitness night watchman Sahab Uddin said that while on duty, he suddenly heard a loud noise and went closer and saw a motorcycle lying on the road. When he went a little further, he saw two bodies lying in blood on the road. Various parts of the body were severed and the brain was shattered. The Chittagong-bound bus quickly fled. After the locals informed the police, the police came and recovered the two bodies.
The deceased’s family said that the deceased Sohel was a businessman from Chittagong. The other was an employee. After closing the shop and going to his in-laws’ house in Chakaria area of Cox’s Bazar, the deadly bus took their lives.
In this regard, SI Ruhul Amin of Dohazari Highway Police Station told us that upon receiving the information, they quickly went to the spot and recovered the two bodies lying in dismembered condition and brought them to the police station custody. Following the application of the deceased’s family, the body was handed over to the family. The identity of the deadly bus is not yet known.
