One person died while bathing in the sea in Cox’s Bazar, 2 missing

One person drowned while bathing in the Himchhari sea beach in Cox’s Bazar. 2 people are missing. The incident took place early on Tuesday (July 8). Cox’s Bazar Additional District Magistrate Shahidul Alam confirmed the matter. He said that 5 people went to Himchhari beach in the morning. Later, 3 people went to bathe in the sea. At one point, all 3 were swept away by the current. At that time, locals tried to rescue them. Later, the body of one person was recovered. He also said that the fire service went to the spot after receiving the information. However, the rescue work is being hampered due to the rough sea. The identities of the deceased and the missing have not yet been confirmed.
