One more dies of dengue, 280 hospitalized
One person has died of dengue, a disease transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes, in the last 24 hours. In addition, 280 more people have been admitted to the hospital with dengue fever during this period. This information was given in a report sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday (July 24). According to the report, from 8 am on Wednesday to 8 am on Thursday, 66 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in Barisal division (excluding City Corporation), 54 in hospitals in Dhaka Metropolitan, 45 in Chittagong division, 44 in Dhaka division, 39 in Rajshahi division, 25 in Khulna division, 4 in Rangpur division and three in Mymensingh division. So far this year, 18,625 people have been admitted to hospitals due to dengue. 70 people have died of the disease. Among the deceased, 37 are men and 33 are women.
