One killed in head-on collision between two motorcycles in Magura
A young man named Abdur Rahim (30) was killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Magura. Another motorcyclist named Riaz was seriously injured in the incident. The injured Riaz is undergoing treatment at Faridpur Medical College Hospital. The accident took place in the Palla Mandartala area of Magura Sadar Upazila on Wednesday (December 3) afternoon. It is learned that the deceased Abdur Rahim is the son of Mahbubur Rahman of Stadium Para of Magura Municipality. The injured Riaz is the son of Yusuf Ali of Malik village of Sadar Upazila.
According to local sources, the deceased Abdur Rahim left his house from Magura to go to Palashbaria in Mohammadpur. On the way, when he reached Palla Mandartala area, two motorcycles collided head-on. Both were seriously injured. At that time, locals rescued them and took them to the Magura 250-bed Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared Abdur Rahim dead.
Meanwhile, the injured Riaz has been sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment as his condition is critical. Magura Sadar Police Station OC Ayub Ali told us that a motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Palla Mandartala area of Magura Sadar Upazila yesterday afternoon. Another youth was injured in the incident. Legal action is under process in this regard.
