Obscene video of headmaster and student goes viral, uproar in Gangni

A video has gone viral on social media. In the video, Raju Ahmed, the headmaster of Harabhanga Ace B Secondary School in Gangni upazila of Meherpur, and a class 10 student are seen making various obscene gestures. The video also shows that headmaster Raju Ahmed is also giving a flying kiss to the student. The video went viral on social media Facebook yesterday (November 14) afternoon. The issue is now the focus of discussion in Gangni.
Locals said that if a headmaster is a nation builder and his character is like this, then where will the students get proper education. And when this video is spread on social media, then the students of that institution are watching it. And if that teacher has any shame, then he will never enter that school. Legal action needs to be taken against him immediately. Such a rude and dirty person can never be a teacher.’
Some people said on condition of anonymity, ‘In the video, the shameless student is seen touching her lips with her hand and the shameless teacher is kissing her obscenely. Seeing such a video of a teacher and a student, we have to turn away in shame. We also have children and they are watching. However, we only want justice. In fact, we never see proper justice.’
A former student of ACE B Secondary School, Tariqul Islam, said, ‘Educational institutions are sacred places. Every teacher should manage this place with due dignity. But what message does such immoral incidents actually send? What will the next generation learn from this teacher. Therefore, exemplary punishment is needed for him.’ Although we called ACE B Secondary School Principal Raju Ahmed on his mobile phone several times to inquire about the matter, he did not pick up the call.
Harabhanga ASB Secondary School Management Committee President Mokhlesur Rahman said, “I am out of work. But I saw the video, it is very sad. I have spoken to the local and assistant teachers. I will come and take legal action against him.” Gangni Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Monirul Islam (acting) said, “We have seen the video of the headmaster of Harabhanga ASB Secondary School. However, we have not received any written complaint in this regard yet. Legal action will be taken against him if we receive a complaint. Also, I have asked the president of the institution to temporarily suspend him.” Gangni Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Anwar Hossain said, “We have already come to know about the matter. However, we have not received any written complaint in this regard yet. If we receive a written complaint, we will investigate the matter and take action against him.”
