North South University student Apurba Pal ordered to be sent to jail on charges of insulting the Quran

A court has ordered to send Apurba Pal, a student of the capital’s North South University, to jail on charges of insulting the Quran.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saifuzzaman’s court issued the order today (October 5) Sunday.
The investigation officer of the case told the court that the accused student had confessed to trampling on the Quran. Later, the court granted his request to be detained in jail.
Last night, Bhatara police arrested him from the capital. The state’s lawyer said that the investigation into the case filed in this incident is ongoing.
