Noakhali former MP Ekramul Karim has been arrested

RAB has arrested former MP of Noakhali-4 constituency and former general secretary of district Awami League Ekramul Karim Chowdhury.

He was arrested from Khulshi in Chittagong on Tuesday night.

RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Lieutenant Colonel Munim Ferdous confirmed this.

He said that a murder case has been registered against 53 people including Ekramul Karim in Noakhali Sudharam Police Station.

It should be noted that Ekramul Karim Chowdhury was elected as a Member of Parliament for the first time in the 9th National Parliament election held on December 29, 2008. Before this, in the 2001 national elections, Ekramul contested in the Noakhali-5 seat as an independent candidate without getting the Awami League ticket in the Noakhali-4 seat and lost.
