Newly elected MP accepts saplings instead of flower greetings in Gazipur
After winning the election, newly elected MP from Gazipur-2 constituency M Manjurul Karim Rony accepted saplings instead of flower greetings. Tongi East and West Thana BNP organized this exceptional event yesterday (February 22) afternoon. He gave a message of building an environmentally friendly Gazipur by gifting saplings in the presence of party leaders and activists.
M Manjurul Karim Rony said that before the election, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman had promised to implement five crore saplings every year. To implement that promise, the newly elected MP announced the initiative to accept saplings instead of flowers.
Tongi East Thana BNP President Sarkar Jabed Ahmed Sumon presided over the event. BNP leaders and activists from various thanas and wards and associate organizations also participated in the event. Later, Chhatra Dal leaders and activists were instructed to plant these saplings.
