    New message from the Meteorological Office regarding continuous rain

    The Meteorological Office has said that rain is likely to occur in different parts of the country, including Dhaka, over the next two days. Light to moderate fog may fall in different parts of the country from late night to early morning.

    The Meteorological Department has given this information in the weather forecast for the next 72 hours from 6 pm on Saturday.

    Assistant Meteorologist Kazi Jebunnesa said that rain or thundershowers may occur in one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions today, Sunday. In addition, rain or thundershowers may occur in one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions next Monday.

    However, it has been learned that the weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies next Tuesday. And light to moderate fog may fall in some places from late night to early morning on these 3 days.

    The Meteorological Department recorded a maximum rainfall of 7 millimeters in Rajshahi and Baghabari at 6 pm today, Saturday. In addition, slight rainfall was recorded in Dhaka, Faridpur, Narsingdi and Chuadanga during this period, including 1 mm in Tangail and Kumarkhali. The Meteorological Department has also predicted that there is no possibility of significant change in the weather in the extended 5 days.

    Meanwhile, the lowest temperature in the country yesterday was 13.4 degrees Celsius in Tentulia, Panchagarh, and earlier on Friday, the highest temperature in the country was 33 degrees Celsius in Sitakunda. In addition, the lowest temperature in Dhaka yesterday morning was 20.8 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature on Friday was 31.2 degrees Celsius. The sky in Dhaka was cloudy since Saturday morning, there was no heat from the sun. It started raining as soon as the afternoon passed. The rain continued in the evening. The sudden rain caused hardship to the footpath traders and the common people working outside.
