New decision on metro rail operations on polling day
Metro rail operator Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has decided to run additional trains outside the scheduled schedule to facilitate the travel of voters on the day of the 13th National Parliament Election. The company gave this information in a notification on Sunday (February 8) night.
The notification signed by DMTCL Director (Administration) AKM Khairul Alam said that keeping in mind the upcoming referendum and the 13th National Parliament Election, metro rail operations will remain normal on the polling day on February 12 (Thursday). The notification also said that the number of metro trains will be increased outside the normal schedule during the polling period to facilitate the travel of voters.
