Netanyahu suffers from food poisoning, rests for three days
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has suffered from food poisoning and is currently recovering, his office said in a statement on Sunday (July 20) local time. The 75-year-old Netanyahu fell ill at night and was later diagnosed with intestinal inflammation and dehydration. The statement said, “In accordance with the advice of doctors, the prime minister will rest at home for the next three days and will conduct state activities from there.” Previously, Netanyahu had a pacemaker implanted in his heart in 2023 and last December he underwent surgery to remove his prostate after being diagnosed with a urinary tract infection.
