Nepal’s interim government appoints three ministers

For the first time, Nepal’s interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki has appointed three ministers to the cabinet. Nepal’s President Ramachandra Poudel administered the oath of office to them at the President’s Office on Monday (September 15). Om Prakash Aryal took charge as the Home Minister. He will also hold the charge of the Law and Justice Ministry. Kulman Ghisingh has been given the charge of the Energy Minister. Rameshwar Khanal has been sworn in as the Finance Minister. Since taking office, the country’s interim government has faced several hurdles, including restoring law and order and repairing damaged infrastructure. The decision to appoint new members to the cabinet was taken to restore stability in post-protest Nepal.
