Neighbors’ suggestions on elections completely unacceptable: Foreign Affairs Advisor
Foreign Affairs Advisor Towhid Hossain has said that neighbors are trying to sabotage the elections. Their suggestions on this matter are completely unacceptable. He said this while talking to reporters at the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday (December 17).
The Foreign Affairs Advisor said that it is normal to summon the Bangladesh High Commissioner in Delhi. Tensions have been prevailing between Dhaka and Delhi for a long time. It is difficult to say whether any new dimension has been added there. The government is not yet thinking of reducing the size of the Bangladesh mission in India. However, the size of the mission will be reduced if necessary.
He also said that Tarique Rahman had not asked for any travel pass or documents to come to Bangladesh until last night. He further commented that the demand for Hasnat Abdullah’s resignation is in no way the government’s position.
