National Democratic Front announces candidates for 119 seats
The National Democratic Front (NDF), a political alliance recently formed under the leadership of the National Party (JPA) and a section of the JP, has announced candidates for 119 seats. Two candidates have been announced for some of these seats. The names of the candidates were announced at a press conference at a hotel in the capital today (December 23). JPA Executive Chairman Mojibul Haque Chunnu read out the names of the candidates at the press conference.
This alliance formed on December 9 has a total of 18 parties. The partner parties of the NDF are the Anisul Islam-led JPA, JP, Janata Party Bangladesh, Trinamool BNP, Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Andolan, Bangladesh Sangskritik Mukti Jote, Ganofront, Bangladesh Muslim League (Mohsin Rashid), National Islamic Mahajot, Bangladesh Swadhin Party, Bangladesh Swadhinata Party, Alliance Democratic Party, Bangladesh Ganotantrik Andolan, Democratic Party, Jatiya Sangskritik Jote, JSD (Shahjahan Siraj), United Democratic Party and Gano Andolan.
Japar Chairman and NDF Chairman Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, JP Chairman Anwar Hossain Manju, Japar Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader and many others addressed the press conference.
