RAB has arrested Nannu, one of the accused in the murder case of businessman Sohag, in front of Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital (Mitford) in the capital, from the port of Narayanganj. He was arrested at around 1 am on Sunday (July 14). This Nannu is one of the four people confirmed to have died after being hit with bricks and cement blocks in the viral video. A total of 8 people have been arrested in this murder case. Earlier, 2 people named Sajeeb and Rajib were arrested from the capital Dhaka and Netrokona on Sunday (July 13) morning. The police have taken them on a 5-day remand for questioning. Meanwhile, It is worth noting that last Wednesday, businessman Lal Chand alias Sohag was brutally hacked to death by terrorists in public and crushed to death with brick fragments. The next day, when a storm of condemnation arose in this incident, the victim’s sister filed a case with the Kotwali police station as the complainant. The case names 19 people. Initially, locals believed that extortion was the reason for the murder.
