Mustafizur Rahman will not give a treat even after getting 12 crore taka—Shantar fears

Mustafizur Rahman has created history in the IPL auction. He went to Kolkata Knight Riders for 9.2 crore taka. No Bangladeshi has been sold for such a high price in the history of IPL. However, Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto has expressed his ‘doubt’ that Mustafiz will not give a ‘treat’ even after getting such a price. Yesterday, Nazmul Hossain Shanto took the field in a friendly cricket match on Victory Day organized by the Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB). Although his team was unbeaten, it lost to Mehedi Hasan Miraj’s ‘Indomitable’ team. After that, Shanto got the news of Mustafiz.
At the press conference, Shanto said, ‘I heard. I am very happy. I do not know how much taka (money).’ Then he told reporters, ‘Brother, this is very happy news.’ I think you should present it to the public as well as possible.’ However, Shanto was then asked a supplementary question, whether he would like the treat. That’s when he expressed his apprehension. He said, ‘I will try to take it (the treat). I don’t think he will. I have my doubts.’ Yesterday, Shanto conducted the entire pre-match and post-match affair in a humorous tone. He called the opposition a ‘committee team’ like a neighbourhood cricket. Then, after the match, there was some doubt about Mustafizur being treated like this. Meanwhile, Mustafizur’s name was put up for auction yesterday with a base price of Rs 2 crore. However, there was a real fight between his former team Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata. In the end, Kolkata had the last laugh in this fight.
