Mother returns home healthy after giving birth to 5 children at once

A housewife from Kapasia, Gazipur, gave birth to 5 children at once. After 5 days of treatment, she returned home healthy. Masuma Akhter (30), a housewife from Digaboo village in Tok Union of Kapasia, was showered with love from the entire local community on Friday (April 10) afternoon. Returning home with 5 newborns created great joy among the locals.
Masuma is the wife of Kajal Mia (45), a resident of Digaboo village. According to family sources, she was admitted to the Bangladesh Medical University (PG) Hospital in the capital on April 5 due to labor pains. There, under the supervision of specialist doctors, she gave birth to 5 children. Among them, 3 boys and 2 girls. All the mothers and newborns are currently healthy and out of danger.
Doctor Kamruzzaman Selim said that usually in such cases, the weight of the children is very low and the risk is high. But the combined weight of these five children is about 8 kg. The average weight of each baby is between 1 kg 400 grams and 1 kg 500 grams, which is quite promising in this situation. Bangladesh has never seen 5 healthy babies born together before. As soon as this rare news spread in the area, an eager crowd gathered at Kajal Mia’s house. People from far and wide are rushing to catch a glimpse of the babies. There is also a lot of positive discussion on social media about the matter. Although the incident has sparked nationwide discussion, the parents of the babies have not agreed to give any direct interviews to the media for now. They are prioritizing the health of their children at the moment and maintaining the family’s privacy.
