    Morshed-Kader-Saifuddin Parishad exchange views with Chittagong Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain

    Chittagong City Mayor and former President of the City BNP Dr. Shahadat Hossain met with the leaders of the Morshed-Kader-Saifuddin Parishad. The candidates exchanged views with the aim of informing them about the election of the management committee of The Chittagong Cooperative Housing Society Limited. They met at the mayor’s residence in the city’s Amirbagh residential area on Saturday morning under the leadership of Morshed Ahmed Manjur and Muhammad Saifuddin.

    During the exchange of views, the candidates highlighted various aspects of the election to the city father and prominent politician about the upcoming election of the society. They said that they have announced a panel for 12 posts with the commitment and goal of forming a society that is transparent, accountable, non-discriminatory and universal. All the candidates of the panel are residents of the society; this will make service provision easy and affordable. In addition, the transparency and accountability of the organization will also be ensured. He sought the mayor’s attention to the formation of an ideal society and the opportunity for development.

    At this time, the panel’s president candidate Morshed Ahmed Manju, general secretary Muhammad Saifuddin, vice-president Dr. Golam Quader Chowdhury, treasurer Muhammad Shahidul Islam Chowdhury, member candidates Engineer Abul Kalam Azad, Azad Moinuddin, Dilshad Ahmed, SM Zamir Uddin, Mohammad Jahangir Kabir, Mamunul Islam Humayun, Md. Moin Uddin Khan Chowdhury and engineer Md. Rezaul Hayat Khan were present.

    The mayor listened to the entire issue about the election from the candidates with attention. He wished the panel candidates well. He hoped to maintain the tradition and reputation of the society and create a beautiful environment. So that he can set a shining example by erasing the bad reputation of the past. He said, as the father of the city, I have no opportunity to be for or against anyone; all citizens are equally important to me. I will welcome whoever wins through a fair, beautiful and impartial election. Voters will think about who will get more services if they win. I think they will exercise their voting rights based on that.

    It is worth noting that the society’s management committee elections will be held on February 22. Voting is scheduled to take place from 10 am to 4 pm at Ankur Society Girls’ High School located in Nasirabad Housing Society. This time, a total of 38 candidates, including 34 from three panels and 4 independents, will be in the fray.
