More than 400 patients admitted to hospital due to dengue
In the last 24 hours, 430 people have been admitted to hospital due to dengue. However, no one has died due to the Aedes mosquito-borne disease during this period. This information was given in a press release sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Wednesday (August 27). It said that from 8 am yesterday, Tuesday to 8 am today, Wednesday, 103 patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka Metropolitan City, 67 in Dhaka Division (outside the City Corporation), 120 in Barisal Division, 73 in Chittagong Division, 31 in Rajshahi Division, 26 in Khulna Division, 7 in Mymensingh Division and 5 in Rangpur Division. So far this year, 118 people have died due to this Aedes mosquito-borne disease. Among the deceased, 67 are men and 51 are women. And a total of 29,944 patients have been admitted to hospitals since January this year.
