Missile attack on US embassy in Baghdad
A missile has hit the US embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, damaging part of its air defense system. Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera reported this information on Saturday (March 14).
Meanwhile, the Trump administration has warned US citizens in the country to leave Iraq immediately. At the same time, Iraqi armed groups have announced rewards of up to $100,000 for information on US citizens in the country.
The scale of attacks in Iraq is increasing and is not limited to Baghdad. US military bases and airports have been attacked in different parts of Iraq and in the Kurdish region in the north. So far, one French soldier has been killed in these attacks.
