Miscreants hack father and son to death in Jhenaidah

A miscreant hacked a father and son to death in Goalpara area of ​​Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila. The incident took place at around 7:30 pm on Tuesday (October 7).
The injured are Jahangir Alam, son of Abdul Majid of Bajitpur village of Harishankarpur union, and his son Ijazul.
According to police and local sources, Jahangir Alam was in Goalpara market in his van in the evening. He had an argument with the accused Shimul when he refused to take passengers because he was going to offer Isha prayers. At one point, Shimul hacked Jahangir with a machete he was holding. When Shimul came forward to save his father, Shimul also hit his son Ijazul and fled. Later, locals rescued the two and took them to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital.
Dr. Meftahul Jannat, a doctor at the emergency department of Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital, said that two people were admitted with serious injuries. After primary treatment, they were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Abdullah Al Mamun, officer-in-charge (OC) of Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station, said that a drive is underway to arrest the accused in this incident. He said that a case is under process in this incident.
