Mirza Fakhrul to meet CEC in the afternoon

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is going to meet Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin today. The meeting will be held at the Election Commission office in Agargaon in the capital at 5 pm today, Sunday (January 18). This information was given by the BNP media cell.
Earlier, on January 15, BNP had alleged multiple irregularities regarding postal ballots sent to expatriate voters. After that, a delegation led by party standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed demanded an explanation from the Election Commission on these issues.
BNP has alleged that there are serious flaws in the entire process of preparing and sending postal ballots, due to which the party is directly suffering. At the same time, the Election Commission’s attention has also been drawn to the code of conduct regarding voter slips.
In addition, BNP has also raised allegations of violation of the election code of conduct and biased role against several returning officers. Party sources believe that important discussions may take place on these issues in today’s meeting.
