Mirza Fakhrul seeks ‘yes’ vote in referendum
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has urged everyone to vote ‘yes’ in the referendum on state reforms. He said this while participating in an election road meeting at Golim Baburhat in Jagannathpur Union on Sunday (February 8) morning. Mirza Fakhrul said, “The rule of one person should be destroyed in our country. It should not be fascist like the previous government. There should be accountability. If these reforms are not carried out in the country, then we will fall behind again. That is why we will all vote ‘yes’ in the referendum.”
He also said, “There is no such thing as a minority in this country. Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Christians are all Bangladeshis. BNP was by everyone’s side in the past and will be by everyone’s side in the future.” The BNP Secretary General also said that if it comes to power, special emphasis will be given to agriculture, education, health and employment. He urged everyone to vote with grains of rice to build a prosperous country.
