Today, Sunday, the Youth and Sports Minister went to the police to lodge a complaint. My daughter went to this fair the day before yesterday and some boys molested her there. I have come here to lodge a complaint. I have come here to seek justice as a mother. Not as a minister or an MP.’

After she filed a complaint with the police, the opposition Indian Congress has raised a voice about law and order in the state.

Muktinagar Police Deputy Superintendent Kushant Pingde said that the accused misbehaved with some girls. At that time, when their bodyguards stopped them, they got into a fight. He named seven accused. One of them has been arrested.

However, claiming that there is no political pressure in this case, the police officer said that a case has been registered on charges of molestation. Apart from this, a case has been registered under the POCSO Act and the related ICT Act. Because the accused had recorded videos of the girls.
