Minimum temperature of 7 degrees for three days in Panchagarh
Winter has been prevailing in Panchagarh throughout the month of Paush. The true picture of winter is now emerging in this district. Today, Sunday (January 11), the temperature was recorded at 9 am at 7.3 degrees Celsius. This is the lowest in the entire country. Dense fog, Himalayan icy winds and the absence of sun have increased the suffering of the hardworking, uprooted and helpless people of this district.
From afternoon to night and from morning till the time of writing this report, the entire district has been covered in fog. The Himalayan icy winds are coming from the northwest. Although some people have come out wearing warm clothes for urgent needs, most people are unable to leave their homes due to lack of warm clothes. Their hands and feet are shivering in the cold. No information has been received from the concerned authorities about the amount of winter clothes distributed and stored in the district so far.
Jitendranath Roy, officer-in-charge of Tetulia Meteorological Observatory in Panchagarh, said that a temperature of 7.3 degrees Celsius was recorded at 9 am today (January 11). Which is the lowest in the entire country. For the last three days, Panchagarh has been experiencing the lowest temperature in the entire country. A moderate cold wave is blowing. The sky is foggy.
