Milestone tragedy: School staff Masuma could not be saved
The death toll in the Milestone tragedy continues unabated. This time, a school staff named Masuma (32) has lost her life. It is learnt that she was staying in the two-storey building on the day of the accident. Doctors declared her dead at around 10:15 am on Saturday (July 26). With this, the death toll in the plane crash has risen to 35 according to the health department. National Burn Institute Director Nasir Uddin said that burn patients are being provided medical care by dividing them into different categories. At the moment, medical teams from Singapore and China are working. The condition of 15 people is improving. They will be discharged from the hospital in phases tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Hospital authorities said that the condition of 3 of the patients undergoing treatment is still critical. However, the condition of 15 has improved. The process of sending them home is starting today. Meanwhile, security is tight in the hospital premises. The army, police, RAB and air force are keeping a close watch. The Burn Institute has informed that there is no need for any blood or skin donors at this time. The government will bear all the medical expenses of the injured. On the other hand, the Milestone School and College authorities have declared Sunday and Monday as holidays to express their sincere condolences to the families of all those killed and injured in the plane crash.
