Messi’s Modi meeting cancelled

Argentine football star Lionel Messi and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled meeting on Monday (December 15) has been cancelled. They were supposed to meet in the Indian capital New Delhi. Messi was also supposed to meet Prime Minister Modi during his visit to India. A 21-minute protocol was also drawn up, but it was cancelled at the last minute.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a four-day foreign tour. His tour includes Jordan, Ethiopia and Oman. Before leaving India, he said that India has long-standing relations and extensive bilateral contacts with these three countries.
The first destination of Messi’s three-day visit to India was Kolkata. Although there was some chaos on arrival at the Salt Lake Stadium, the next two cities, Hyderabad and Mumbai, were completed smoothly. The tour will end with a reception at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
