An investigation commission has been formed into the BDR mutiny incident in the capital’s Peelkhana, said Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. He made this known at a medal presentation ceremony organized at the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) headquarters in the capital’s Peelkhana on Monday to mark BGB Day.
The Home Affairs Advisor said, “A 7-member investigation commission has been formed into the BDR mutiny incident. The chief advisor signed it last Sunday night.”
Meanwhile, the Home Affairs Advisor said that a letter has been sent to the Foreign Ministry to take necessary steps to contact India to return former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He said, “She can be returned as per the extradition agreement.”
Stating that there has been no change in our policy stance to prevent Rohingya infiltration at the border, the advisor said, “We will not allow Rohingyas to enter under any circumstances.” Only those who are sick are getting shelter on humanitarian grounds.
Meanwhile, Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury also said that those who harassed freedom fighters in Comilla will be brought under the law.
