Meetings and gatherings banned near the secretariat and the residence of the chief advisor
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has banned processions, meetings and gatherings in Jamuna, the official residence of the Bangladesh Secretariat and the Chief Advisor, and the surrounding areas.
This information was given in a public notice signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali on Thursday.
The notice mentioned that for the information of the general public, it is being informed that in the interest of maintaining public order, any kind of meeting, gathering, mass gathering, procession and procession, etc. has been banned in Jamuna, the official residence of the Bangladesh Secretariat and the Chief Advisor, and the surrounding areas (Hotel Intercontinental Intersection, Shahbagh Intersection, Kakrail Intersection, Mintu Road) from Thursday until further orders, under the powers vested in Section 29 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No. III/76).
