    Md. Abdul Jalil is the DG of Film Archive

    Md. Abdul Jalil is the Director General of Bangladesh Film Archive. He has been given this new responsibility in an order of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Wednesday.

    Abdul Jalil is currently serving as the Vice Chairman of the Bangladesh Film Certification Board. He will also serve as the Film Certification Board along with the Bangladesh Film Archive.

    Earlier, he was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Bangladesh Film Certification Board (Bangladesh Film Censor Board) on June 6. Before that, he served as the Senior Deputy Chief Information Officer (Protocol) of the Directorate of Information.

    Md. Abdul Jalil is an 18th batch officer of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Information-General) cadre. Earlier, he served as a public relations officer of various ministries and the Bangladesh Accreditation Board under the Ministry of Industries.

    In his educational career, he secured sixth place in the combined merit list in the Higher Secondary Examination from the Comilla Education Board. He secured first place in both BSS (Hons) and MSS examinations from the Department of Social Welfare, University of Dhaka. He was awarded the ‘Professor Ayesha Noman Gold Medal’ for achieving the highest marks from the Institute of Social Welfare and Research, University of Dhaka.

    He received professional training in various countries including Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Iran, China, India.
