Masked men shoot young man in capital
In the capital’s West Rampura, a young man named Md. Suman (25) was shot dead by masked miscreants. The incident took place at around 11 pm on Tuesday in the Bagicha Tech area of West Rampura’s Wapda Road in Hatijheel police station area.
The injured Suman’s village is in Kutumpur village of Chandina upazila of Comilla. He currently lives on Wapda Road in West Rampura. Suman works as an internet line connector.
Citing the injured’s family, Inspector Md. Faruk, in-charge of the police camp at Dhaka Medical College (DMCH), said that Suman was hanging out at a tea shop in front of his house on lane number 2 of Wapda Road in West Rampura at night. At that time, masked unknown persons came there on a motorcycle and opened fire indiscriminately. Suman was injured by a bullet in the right thigh.
The police officer also said that later, his relatives rescued Suman and first took him to Mugda Medical College Hospital. Later, he was brought to DMCH Hospital for advanced treatment at around 3 am. After receiving treatment there, the injured were taken away by their relatives. He also said that the matter has been reported to the concerned police station.
