Market monitoring in Feni, fined 82,700 taka

A mobile court conducted a day-long drive in Feni on Monday. During this time, 40 people were fined Tk 83,700. In the mobile court drive conducted to monitor the market and reduce traffic congestion in the municipality area during the holy month of Ramadan, 40 convicted persons were fined Tk 83,700 in 11 cases.

Sonagazi Upazila Executive Officer Kamrul Hasan conducted the drive in Kazirhat and Mangalkandi of Sonagazi, Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Tania Bhuiyan conducted the mobile court in Fulgazi Bazar, Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Subal Chakma conducted the drive in Chagalnaiya Bazar, Upazila Executive Officer and Wise Executive Magistrate Sultana Nasrin Kanta conducted the drive in Dhalia Bazar and Hajir Bazar of Feni Sadar Upazila, and Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Shahidul Alam conducted the mobile court in Daganbhuiyan Bazar.

Besides, Magistrate Jahangir Hossain monitored the market at the Municipal Hawkers Market in the district headquarters, Tanvir Ahmed, Mahbuba Munmun, Shamima Akhter, and assistant commissioners conducted a drive at the Mohipal Raw Market.

Magistrate Souvik Roy and Mujibur Rahman removed/erupted illegal shops from the sidewalk to reduce traffic congestion in the Municipal Hawkers Market area. Such drives will continue during Ramadan, according to district administration sources.
