Man with loaded gun arrested near Trump’s weekend rally
Police have arrested a man with a shotgun, a loaded handgun and a fake passport at a rally for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in Coachella, California. The 49-year-old accused has been identified as Vem Miller.
Even though this incident happened last Saturday local time, the BBC made the matter public in a report on Monday.
According to reports, the accused man tried to enter the Trump rally by driving a black colored SUV. On reaching the security check point, two firearms and high capacity magazines were recovered from him.
A government official in Coachella said there was no untoward incident and the man was taken into custody. Besides, a case has been filed against him for carrying firearms.
The United States Secret Service said that Trump is completely safe in the incident. Besides, there was no problem in his security.
A local government official called the man insane and said the incident had no effect on Trump’s rally.
